**** Aerospace Quality Engineer ****

 

Seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer full-time (40-hours per week) for a 6-month project in Red Oak, TX.

 

Job Summary:

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for driving process adherence, working with internal teams to drive a quality first approach. Additionally, investigating, analysing and pursuing corrective & preventive actions for product and system quality problems. Must have direct Aerospace work experience. (i.e. aircraft mfg, detail fabrication, machined parts, etc.)

 

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure compliance to customers quality requirements and regulatory requirements through customer relations.
  • Work within the composites cell as a support function, assisting team members with understanding quality requirements, applying good practice and drive a ‘quality first’ approach.
  • Assist in the timely processing of nonconforming materials and assists in the disposition process by participating in failure analysis and corrective action investigations as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB).
  • Ensure that all documentation conforms to industry / customer quality standards & supports customer new product needs.
  • Drive continual improvement; internal – external, quality and management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Previous Quality Engineering background
  • Aerospace industry experience, working within a quality management system approved to AS9100
  • Solid understanding of key problem solving techniques (Fishbone, 5Y, 8D, RCCA etc.)
  • Exceptional people skills, being able to coach and guide team members in meeting business quality requirements
  • Familiarity with Quality management systems approved to AS9100/AS9110
  • Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102
