Position Overview:
IPC-A-610 Certified Inspector: Seeking an inspector for 60-day contract opportunity in Tempe, AZ
Job Description:
- The quality inspector shall travel to our client's facility in Tempe, AZ to perform quality inspections on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), cable harness, connectors, manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
- Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, customer purchase order(s), industry standards, and specifications to Class III.
- The inspector will be required to report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application.
Requirements:
- Current IPC-A-610 Certification required
- At least 5 years of current Electrical inspection background
- Must have experience working to J-STD-001 or IPC 610 experience
- Inspection primarily on electrical assemblies (i.e. PCBs)
- Knowledge of first article inspection to AS9102
- Aerospace industry experience
- Inspector must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections primarily on electrical assemblies (i.e. PCBs), and / or sub-assemblies
- The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
- Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be able to meet ITAR Compliance
- Must have a laptop and cell phone
- Screening requirements: background, eye exam, drug screening
- This position requires the selected candidate to have an LLC or be willing to obtain one
