Inspects, tests, and adjusts new and reworked tools, dies, gauges, jigs, and fixtures, for conformance to specifications, such as
dimensions, tolerances, and hardness, using precision measuring instruments, testing equipment, and hand tools: Computes
angles, radii, and other unspecified dimensions of workpiece, using algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
At least 3 years inspection experience and Strong knowledge of GD&T (ANSI Y 14.5)
Experience inspecting complex surfaces against CAD models
Adept at using all manner of precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, surface plate, calipers, gages, optical comparator for tight tolerance measurements in the +/- 0.0005 range.
Ability to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine for complex part geometries and interpret the results.
- Practical application experience with CMM software (PCDMIS, Verisurf, etc)
