    *** Electromechanical Inspector ***


    Contractor must have Defense/Military and Aerospace background. Must be able to travel to various locations outside of required areas include surrounding states from original assignment site with occasional exceptions. Must be flexible to accommodate shifting priorities and be able to work well with supplier representatives and have good communication skills.


    Hours will be a hours vary from 8-32 hours per week ( Tuesday & Thursday )



    Must have at least 5 years of quality assurance experience, which includes:

      1. Familiar with IS0-9001, AS9100 & AS9120
      2. Ability to read and interpret complex drawings, specifications, geometric tolerances, schematics and processes
      3. Ability to verify that a Supplier's ATP meets the requirements of the Northrop Grumman specifications.
      4. Evaluate and perform First Article Inspections
      5. Experienced with manufacturing processes by SAE, ASTM or Military Standard
      6. Computer literate in basic MS Office products
      7. Experienced in the evaluation of corrective action for nonconforming products and the associated recommended corrective action
      8. Working knowledge of Calibration Standards and practices Z540
      9. Thorough experience with J-STD-001 and IPC 610 soldering
      10. Working knowledge of Electrostatic Sensitivity (EDS) and precautions
      11. Experience evaluating printed circuit board manufacturing processes
      12. Inspection of printed circuit board
      13. Qualification test witnes

    The following background or experience is a plus:

    1. CQA, CQE, CQM,
    2. Experience in evaluating special processes i.e. Non-destructive Testing, finishing, plating
    3. Familiar with dimensioning and tolerance per ANSI-STD Y14.5,
    4. Precision mechanical inspection tools,
    5. Inspecting machined parts, tooling, transformers, cable harnesses.
    6. Familiar with IPC-620 and inspecting cable assemblies
    7. DOD Secret Clearance
